Dear Band Parents and Students,
This is just a reminder that the band will be performing at the first postseason football game of the year this Friday against Centralia. The game will be held at Battle Ground Stadium at 7pm.
All students will need to arrive at Hockinson High School no later than 5:30pm to change into uniforms. The bus to the stadium will load at 5:45 and depart no later than 6pm. We will ride the buses back to HHS after the game to change and pack up, and should be done around 9:30. We do need all students to ride the bus to and from the stadium, as policy states that marching band uniforms are not allowed to go home with students.
If your brought your pep band music, instrument, or any uniform parts (such as socks or hats) home after the last football game, be sure to bring that stuff back before Friday.
Parents, please know that the gates will not open until 6:00 for the football game. The admission cost for the District games are:
- $7.00 adults and students without ASB
- $5.00 students with ASB, senior citizens (62 and older), children 6-12
- Children 5 and under are free
This is very exciting to once again be in the postseason for football. Many of our upperclassmen can remember years when this was not the case! Let’s be sure to pack the stands with the biggest, loudest, best band of the year! Your team, your school, and your community very much appreciate your support and look forward to seeing and hearing you in the stands helping our Hawks to victory!
If we win, we advance to the state playoffs and could potentially have a game each weekend in November up to the state championship in the Tacoma Dome on December 4 or 5. Because of our record, we have secured home games (which will be held at Battle Ground Stadium) for at least the first 3 weekends in November (district playoff plus first 2 state playoff games).
