The calendar on the website has now been updated. You can find it at http://www.hockinsonmusic.com/calendar/ I recommend you sync the calendar with your phone’s calendar.
I wanted to make you aware of 3 changes to our calendar from the dates that were sent home in May:
- September’s Booster Meeting will be held next Tuesday, September 11 at 6:30pm in the library.
- The home football game scheduled for Friday, October 12 has been canceled. Our opponent canceled on us and the team was unable to find someone else to play. That means our remaining home games are 9/14, 9/28, and 10/5.
- The district has added the 3 days we missed last week to the end of the calendar. The last day of school is now June 17 barring any snow days. Graduation has been moved from June 7 to June 14. All non-senior band students are required to play at graduation, so please adjust your calendar accordingly. You can find the district’s new calendar here.
Many of you have inquired about details for Husky Band Day on 9/22. As of this email, UW has not set a kickoff time for the game. Once it’s set, our rehearsal will begin 5 hours prior to kickoff. As soon as I know the kickoff time I’ll contact everyone regarding departure and approximate return time to HHS. If you are planning on going to the game and want to purchase tickets, UW sometimes releases a promo code for discounted tickets the week of the game. However, these tickets are usually up in the nosebleed sections. If you are picky about your tickets I recommend you buy your own. Hockinson’s placement on the field is facing the south sideline in between the west endzone and 15 yard line (similar to where we were last year).
