Thank you to all the parents and students who attended our fireworks stand meeting
Any parents or students (INCLUDING INCOMING FRESHMEN) who have not signed up for shifts or would like to sign up for additional shifts should follow the link below. There is no maximum number of shifts a parent or band student can sign up for, so take as many as you can work!
We’re using SignUp.com to organize our shifts. Here’s how it works in 3 easy steps:
1) Click this link to see our SignUp: https://bit.ly/
hhsfireworks2024 2) Review the options listed and choose the spot(s) you like.
3) Sign up! It’s Easy – you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on SignUp.com.
Note: SignUp.com does not share your email address with anyone.
Some important points to remember:
- This fundraiser is GENERAL FUNDRAISER. All profits from the event will benefit the HHS Music Booster future travel and band activities to support all students, as well as section coaches for all sections of all classes . Because this fundraiser benefits everyone equally, everyone is asked to participate to the fullest extent possible.
- Pay close attention to the age restrictions when signing up. All students are able to wave signs. Students over 16 are able to work in the tent. Only adults (age 18+) can be cashiers.
- All families are asked to have a family member work at least one shift on July 3 or July 4. The evening of the 4th is especially important, as that shift brings in more money than any other.
- Remember, this is your job! If you can’t come in you must find a sub!
- There will be a training meeting on June 27 at 6pm. All students/parents working at the fireworks stand should plan on attending.
- If you do not have a black HHS Band shirt please bring $15 to the training meeting or your first shift.
NIGHT SECURITY NEEDED
In order to not pay over $1000 for nighttime security to an outside security firm, the Music Boosters are looking for adults, families, or even alumni to provide supervision at the tent overnight. This would involve staying at the stand (either inside the tent or in an RV) from 11:30pm to 8:30am. The crew must have at least 1 adult and can stay awake (playing cards, watching movies, etc.) until the morning crew arrives at 8:30am. If you are willing to help, please sign up using the main SignUp link. Just FYI, we do not keep any money in the stand overnight. There is power and a portapotty available.
Thanks!
