In preparation for our first home football game this Friday, I wanted to pass on a few reminders. As always, please feel free to email me back with any questions.
Handbook Forms:
All students must have their handbook forms turned into me by Friday. Please visit this link to view the handbook and return the Expectation Acknowledgement and Medical Information pages to me. Parents are encouraged to turn in the Volunteer Information form as well. Please also remember that the Husky Band Day permission slip is due Tuesday.
Uniforms:
All students must wear their black pep band shirt under their marching uniform. If you ordered a shirt they will be distributed in class tomorrow (along with any other apparel you ordered). I also recommend athletic shorts under the uniform.
Please also don’t forget to bring:
- Black socks (bring an extra pair to leave in your bag)
- HHS Baseball Cap (if you took it home)
- Marching shoes (if you took them home)
If you have long hair, please do your hair in a high pony tail or braid and bring hairspray, pins, etc. to secure your hair under your hat.
Lyres/Flip Folders:
A few students still have loose music or lyres that do not fit their instruments. This must be taken care of by Friday. If your lyre doesn’t fit your instrument correctly, bring your instrument with you to the music store to get the lyre adjusted. Make sure all your music is in plastic sheet protectors and organized.
Fall Sports:
Please remind your fall sports coaches that you have a 5pm band rehearsal you must attend. Please leave your fall sports practice a few minutes early (earlier if you need to get something to eat) so you can start our practice on time. We’ve had this arrangement for years with fall sports coaches, and with only 3 home games the impact to fall sports should be minimal. However, remember it is YOUR responsibility to communicate with your coach.
Schedule (same schedule for ALL home games):
- 3:30-5:00: Free time (eat a meal!)
