Tuesday, April 9
- Music Booster Meeting
- The HHS Music Boosters will be holding their monthly meeting at 6:30pm in the library. This will be the final meeting before the Benefit Dinner, so anyone volunteering for the event (or interested in volunteering) needs to attend.
Friday, April 12
- CBC Band Festival (Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band only)
- We will load buses at 6:30am Friday morning, so please do not be late. We will return late in the evening on Saturday. Please see the permission slip here (and turn one in if you haven’t already).
Wednesday, April 17
- University of Portland Jazz Festival (Jazz Band only)
- We are currently on a waitlist for this festival. I will confirm by April 15 whether or not we are participating.
Monday, April 15
- Mother’s Day Plant Sale Orders Close
- All orders and payments for plants are due to the booster box by this date (checks made out to HHS Music Boosters). Orders will be delivered to the high school for you to pick up on Saturday, May 11 (the day before Mother’s Day). Follow this link to print an order form to turn in. Thursday, May 2
- Benefit Dinner Dress Rehearsal
- Symphonic Band 3:30-5:30pm
- Wind Ensemble 5:30-7:30pm
- Booster volunteers will also be assembling student raffle baskets at this time. Watch for an email from the Boosters for more information.
Saturday, May 4
- HHS Music Booster Benefit Dinner, Concert, and Auction
- This is a required, graded performance for all students.
- Students will need to arrive in concert attire between 5:30 and 6:00pm (depending on what job they sign up for).
- Doors open at 6pm for guests, with dinner served around 7pm.
- Student and parent volunteers will be needed the morning/afternoon of the event and after the event ends. Watch for emails or attend the April 10th booster meeting.
- Purchase tickets here. Ticket sales close April 19th.
Looking Ahead
- May 6-10 – Wind Ensemble auditions, sign up for a live audition time after school and submit recordings by May 10 (all students interested in being in Wind Ensemble next year). Audition materials are located in the Audition Materials folder here.

- May 18 – Hazel Dell Parade, 9:00am call time, return around 1:00pm (All Students)

- May 31 – Parade Practice, Drum Major Auditions, and Band Council Elections 3:30-5:30pm (All Students)
- June 1 – Fun Days Parade, 11:00am call time (All Students)
- June 1 – Rose Festival Starlight Parade, 6:00pm call time (All Students)
- June 3 – Concert Dress Rehearsal, 3:30-5:30pm Symphonic Band, 5:00-7:00pm Wind Ensemble
- June 4– District Band Festival, 5:30pm call time (All Students)
- June 13 – Graduation, 6:00pm call time (All Non-Seniors perform, final exam)
- June 14 – Jazz Band Audition Recordings Due. Audition materials are located here. (All Students interested in being in Jazz Band next year)
- June 18 – End-Of-The-Year Band Barbecue, 1:00-4:00pm @ Alderbrook Park (All Students)
