With the beginning of the year upon us, I’m sure many of you are feeling a tad overwhelmed at the amount of paperwork coming at you. I’d like to provide you with some important links for parents and students to review together and return. Paper copies will be available at our parent meeting on August 22nd at 4pm. More information and answers to questions will happen at our parent meeting on August 22.
Shoe Order Form – If you are a new student or a returning student who has lost/outgrown their marching band shoe, please fill out this form and return by the last day of band camp (August 23). Late orders may incur a large rush shipping fee. If you will not be at band camp, contact Lori Linton at lori.linton@comcast.net
Band Apparel – Paper order forms will be available at the parent meeting, but we are accepting online orders now! All students and chaperones must have a black HHS Pep Band shirt for all performances and trips. A limited quantity will be available at the parent meeting on Thursday. All other orders must be received by Friday, August 23rd to arrive in time for the first performance.
Band Handbook – Please return pages 17-19 by September 6. The calendar for the year is also at the back of the handbook.
Formal Wear Letter and Formal Wear Information (Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and Jazz Band only) – All students in these ensembles who do not already have a uniform need to purchase one by September 8.
Husky Band Day Permission Slip – This required performance comes up on us quick (Saturday, September 7). Please return this permission slip by September 3.
Wind Ensemble Retreat Permission Slip (Wind Ensemble only) – Wind Ensemble Retreat is October 4-6 at Cispus Learning Center (NEW LOCATION!). We have to get an accurate count to Cispus by September 6, so we must have signed permission slips from all of you by then. This is a required event for Wind Ensemble ONLY.
Calendar – The calendar for 2019-20 has been updated on the website. Subscribe to it so all the dates appear on your personal calendar!
