We distribute the program at all of our concerts and it features individual and group pictures of all of our musicians. Dear HHS Band Students and Parents, This year’s HHS Band Handbook is now posted on the website.  You can find it here:  http://www.hockinsonmusic.com/download/home/Band-Handbook-18-19.pdf Parents and students should review the handbook together, then please fill out and sign the Expectation Acknowledgement, Medical Information, and Volunteer forms on pages 17-19.  Forms need to be submitted to me by September 14 for students to be allowed to participate in the first home football game.  Students who need a printed copy of the handbook may print one in the library. The calendar on the website has now been updated.  You can find it at http://www.hockinsonmusic.com/calendar/ I recommend you sync the calendar with your phone’s calendar. I wanted to make you aware of 3 changes to our calendar from the dates that were sent home in May: September’s Booster Meeting will be held next Tuesday, September 11 at 6:30pm in the library. The home football game scheduled for Friday, October 12 has been canceled.  Our opponent canceled on us and the team was unable to find someone else to play.  That means our remaining home games are 9/14, 9/28, and 10/5. Hello Band Students and Parents! The HHS Drumline just wrapped up a fantastic Drumline Day here at the high school!  Our new and returning students did a fantastic job, and if this is any indication of how Band Camp will be next week I think we’re all in for a great time!  Drummers:  Please remember to pick up a pair of sticks (snares 2 pairs) and some white electrical tape ASAP.  If the music store is closed on Sunday, just visit after band camp on Monday or Tuesday.  You should have your sticks by Wednesday at the latest.   Vic Firth (Snares – Ralph Hardimon sticks, Tenors – MTS1 sticks, Basses – MBH mallets (1-4, depending on which drum you play).
