On Tuesday, October 28, 2014, the Hockinson High School and Washougal High School Jazz Bands will present a combined concert featuring the world-renowned trumpet and trombone player, Mic Gillette. Mic Gillette has appeared on countless CDs and record albums spanning five decades for some of the biggest names in the business, including a dozen members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. After touring for many years with Tower of Power, Mic began a program called “Music in the Schools.” He continues to teach, record, arrange, and play live gigs. Thank you to everyone who auditioned for Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band for the 2014-2015 school year!  Both groups are shaping up to be excellent groups! Those of you who were selected need to be ready to be fitted for tuxedos and dresses at band camp.  If you still have your tux/dress from last year and it fits you won’t need a new one.
